Mainland Mex Trip – Part 2

This is the second part to our Mainland Mexico video series. I’m still in disbelief of what a glorious and unspoiled place this is, of all the locations we’ve been to in our past two trips down there only 1 had ever been ridden before and the other only a handful of times. Suffice it to say that this is an enormously unexplored coastline in terms of Skimboarding and probably holds some of the greatest wave potential and all-out adventure that can be found anywhere in the world and I am very grateful to the country and people for allowing us to pursue that.

Mainland Mex Trip – Part 1

Here’s Part 1 of a video series chronicling our recent trip to Mainland Mexico with Blair Conklin, Sam Stinnett, Ken Suzuki and Luis Uribe. We had doubts about how we could top our trip from last year, but somehow we managed to do it with this amazing crew and a trip to a relatively brand-new spot. A special thank you to Luis Uribe for filming a second angle and helping capture this unforgettable trip.

Note that we will be making a considerably shorter online video from this trip for Exile that will be free on their youtube page at some point in the future.

Winter Playground

This is from a few sessions leading up to Christmas where both ends of Aliso were doing there respective things simultaneously. It’s hard to go wrong on days like that.

West/9th – Fall ’14

West Street is slowly coming back to life after a brutally active Hurricane season, but still, like Seal, some of the best waves are still surf waves and we’ve always been proponents of using the best tool for the job.

Seal/9th – Fall ’14

Today is Thanksgiving and per tradition we would like to say thank you to all of you who have been supporting MOV throughout the years. Because of you we have been able to create the longest lasting, most consistent and highest caliber online media company ever to exist in Skimboarding with over 350 (!) videos being produced to date.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Fall ’14 – Part 3

We’ve finally had a taste of the Fall Doldrums here in Laguna. Spoiled by one of the best, most consistent years in recent memory it’s been difficult to turn away from the ocean while it goes cool and flat. However there are some bonuses to this time of year, namely small crowds, north Aliso and West Street.

Fall ’14 – Part 2

Several weeks in a row of clean, steep-angled ground swell, warm water and nearly no wind is quite a blessing to people who find most of their enjoyment in the Littoral. Running up and down the coast trying to figure out where the waves, rocks and sand are interacting most favorably.
